Community Guidelines
At ConnectiCare, we have one priority: caring for our community. Our social media sites serve as another means to care for and connect with our members, neighbors and local partners. Please follow these guidelines when interacting with us and others on social media.
Treat other social media users like your neighbors
Please be courteous and respectful of others. In order to keep our social media communities safe and secure, we reserve the right to remove content that is inappropriate or contains sensitive information.
Remember that social media is a public space
ConnectiCare’s social media sites are public, so please make sure to protect your privacy. Please do not post or direct message ConnectiCare with your social security number, financial information, ConnectiCare member ID or other private data or protected health information (PHI) on our social media sites.

Social Media Terms of Use
The information and health content found on any ConnectiCare social media site (“ConnectiCare Social Media”) is not designed to substitute for health care or medical advice from a professional. All questions about treatment should be referred to your health care provider. By posting content (“User Content”) on ConnectiCare Social Media, you agree to comply with ConnectiCare’s Social Media Terms of Use. ConnectiCare has the right to update and/or change these terms of use at any time.
User Content:
ConnectiCare is not responsible for any User Content posted on ConnectiCare Social Media. Any User Content you post on ConnectiCare Social Media is done voluntarily at your own risk, and you take personal responsibility for any information provided. ConnectiCare is under no obligation to screen or monitor User Content, including tweets, posts, photos, videos, comments and direct messages.
By using ConnectiCare Social Media you agree not to transmit or post any material that is, or that can be perceived as, unlawful, profane, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, invasive of another’s privacy. ConnectiCare reserves the right to delete any User Content that is inconsistent with the company’s mission, promotes a product or service, that is commercial in nature, or which solicits other users to join or contribute money to any online service or other organization. In the event your User Content is deemed inappropriate, ConnectiCare reserves the right to block you from posting on ConnectiCare Social Media
Remember, any content that you post may survive as an electronic record years from now and may be read by unintended parties. ConnectiCare is not responsible for the content of any comments or responses posted by others to any website or social media site managed or monitored by ConnectiCare.
ConnectiCare may disclose your communications and activities in connection with an ConnectiCare social media site in response to lawful requests by governmental, including law enforcement, entities.
Privacy & Identity:
Please do not post public User Content containing personal contact information. Please do not post or direct message ConnectiCare with your social security number, financial information, ConnectiCare member ID or other protected health information (PHI), such as your physician’s name or the reason you saw the doctor. ConnectiCare and its subsidiaries will never ask you for your Social Security number, ConnectiCare member ID or passwords on ConnectiCare Social Media. User Content with detailed private information or medical information about you or another person may be removed to protect the privacy of all concerned. In addition, all users are prohibited from posting PHI related to individuals other than themselves or their minor dependents, including (but not limited to) information related to the health of the individual, financial information about the individual or any identification related to the individual, irrespective of whether the individual has provided their permission or consent. All users are cautioned to use extreme care when posting individually identifiable personal information for themselves and their minor dependents.
ConnectiCare is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third party websites and social media sites. Please review the privacy and terms of use policies for these sites. You agree that your use of third party websites, resources and social media sites is at your own risk and is subject to the terms and conditions of these sites. You understand that the phone numbers you provide on ConnectiCare Social Media properties may be used by ConnectiCare or any of its contracted parties to contact you about your account, your health benefit plan or related programs, or services provided to you.
By accessing, viewing and/or posting content on ConnectiCare Social Media, you certify that you are at least 18 years of age and agree not to falsely represent yourself, including impersonating or falsely claiming affiliation with another individual or entity.
Proprietary Rights:
As a condition of posting User Content on ConnectiCare Social Media, you represent and warrant that you have the right and authority to submit content and that such content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, trademark, copyright or other rights of any third party.
License and Release:
You understand and agree that you are hereby releasing all rights, title and interest in and to any User Content that you submit. You give ConnectiCare and its subsidiaries and affiliates the unrestricted right to use, without compensation to you or any third party, any content, photographs, ideas, concepts, designs, or creative elements provided or created by you and allow ConnectiCare and its designees to use all elements of such content in any and all media now known or not currently known, throughout the world in perpetuity, without compensation or notification to, or permission by you or any third party.
You expressly release and hold harmless ConnectiCare, its affiliates and subsidiaries, its officers, directors, agents, employees and those acting under its authority, from any and all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of or in connection with your User Content. This release shall be binding upon your heirs, administrators, executors and assigns.
