Free, all-level outdoor classes offered through October 10 with safety guidelines in place
FARMINGTON, Conn., September 8, 2020 – Yoga in Our City presented by ConnectiCare recently launched in-person classes with safety guidelines in place at parks in Hartford, New Haven, Bridgeport, and Waterbury.
The popular outdoor wellness program kicked-off after Memorial Day with virtual yoga sessions. The all-level, in-person classes began on July 20 and will run through October 10 with safety guidelines that include wearing a mask when entering or exiting the yoga area and spacing yoga mats at least six feet apart.
“ConnectiCare is encouraging people to take advantage of this free outdoor program, especially during these challenging times,” said Kimberly Kann, Senior Director, Public Relations and Corporate Communications at ConnectiCare. “There are several mental and physical health benefits associated with yoga, and we’re proud to support a program that makes it available to people of all ages, , backgrounds, genders, and skill levels.”
ConnectiCare became the program’s presenting sponsor in 2013 and has helped expand Yoga in Our City from several parks in Hartford to Bridgeport, New Haven, and Waterbury. This summer tradition provides Connecticut communities, residents, and families with access to free yoga classes taught by local instructors.
